Bearing Lubricants

Commercial lubricants are grouped into three generic types: oils, greases, and solid films. All three lubricate rolling and sliding bearings and gears, and solid lubricants are used in all but the most lightly loaded gears. Each general type has assets that best equip it for certain applications.
